Vivo has officially unveiled its latest flagship, the X200 Ultra, a smartphone designed to set a new standard in mobile photography and performance. Launching exclusively in China, the X200 Ultra promises cutting-edge features, powerful hardware, and a remarkable camera setup, making it an exciting option for tech enthusiasts and photography lovers alike.

X200 Ultra delivers an impressive camera system developed in collaboration with ZEISS. Vivo introduces three premium ZEISS master prime lenses:

  • 14mm ZEISS Ultra-Wide-Angle Lens: Perfect for capturing expansive landscapes and dynamic scenes.
  • 35mm ZEISS Documentary-Style Lens: Ideal for storytelling with a cinematic perspective.
  • 85mm ZEISS APO Super-Telephoto Lens II: Offering exceptional zoom capabilities for detailed, long-distance shots.

These lenses are paired with three main rear cameras, each with high-end specifications:

  1. 50 MP Main Camera: Featuring a Sony LYT-818 sensor (1/1.28” size) with an f/1.7 aperture, delivering rich detail and clarity.
  2. 200 MP Long Telephoto Camera: Equipped with a Samsung ISOCELL HP9 sensor (1/1.4” size) and an 85mm equivalent focal length for stunning telephoto shots.
  3. 50 MP Ultra-Wide Camera: Another Sony LYT-818 sensor for wide-angle shots, ensuring versatility across different shooting scenarios.

This powerful camera setup is complemented by advanced features like 4K video recording at 60fps with Dolby Vision support for lifelike color reproduction, as well as 4K at 120fps for smooth slow-motion video. For enhanced cinematic effects, the X200 Ultra introduces Multi-Focal Portrait Video Master, a feature aimed at producing studio-quality footage from your pocket.

The X200 Ultra incorporates several unique features tailored to enhance the photography experience. One standout is the V key, a customizable button placed on the right side of the phone—perfectly positioned for easy access with the index finger. This button serves as a shutter trigger, allowing users to quickly capture photos, mimicking the feel of a dedicated digital camera.

Vivo also equips the X200 Ultra with two dedicated camera chips: the vivo V3+ ISP for post-processing tasks, and the vivo VS1 platform for optimizing exposure, focus, and image stacking. The combination of these chips ensures excellent noise reduction and sharpening, elevating the overall image quality.

Under the hood, the X200 Ultra is powered by the latest Qualcomm chipset, coupled with 12 GB or 16 GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM for seamless multitasking and smooth operation. The smartphone also offers a choice of UFS 4.1 storage options: 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB—catering to users who need extensive space for photos, videos, and apps. The display is equally impressive, with a 10-bit 6.82” LTPO AMOLED screen boasting QHD+ resolution, 4,500 nits peak brightness, and a 120 Hz refresh rate for an ultra-responsive and vibrant viewing experience.

To support all this power and performance, the X200 Ultra comes with a robust 6,000 mAh battery, ensuring all-day usage even during intense photo and video sessions. Charging is lightning-fast, with 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging, allowing users to get back to action quickly.

The Vivo X200 Ultra is available in three color variants: Black, Red, and a special White version inspired by Rimowa suitcase designs. Pricing starts at CNY 6,499 (approximately $890) for the base model with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The 16 GB + 1 TB version supports satellite communications and is priced at CNY 7,999 (around $1,100). For photography enthusiasts, Vivo offers a Photography Set with a bundle price of CNY 9,699 (around $1,330).
