This is Duoyun books’ flagship store on the 52nd floor of Shanghai’s tallest building. Dubbed the “books above clouds”, the wutopia lab project seeks to create a quiet oasis in the bustling city.
The space includes a bookstore, a lecture room, exhibition space, and a cafe. The bookstore houses more than 60,000 books.
The arch doors create a playful and inviting look for the visitors to take a book and go to the public area to read.
The cafe oversees the city of Shanghai.
The designer team home the public place would become a cultural landmark in the city hosting exhibitions and talks.
