Polaroid seems like a company that got extremely lucky while other camera companies from the same era died. Either it’s because of stranger things or Kylie Jenner, the polaroid look is in right now, and the company is banking on it.
Polaroid Lab is a scanning station where you can turn a photo on your phone into a Polaroid picture via scanning.
In the age of digital media, I can’t recall when was the last time I had a photo printed out. Polaroid is betting on the appeal of a physical photo.
The company described the scanner as a “miniature tabletop darkroom.” Polaroid emphasized it is not a printer since it uses the chemicals to develop the photo.
All you need to do is to pull up the picture on your phone and press the button.
It goes on sale on October 10th for $130.
