Nokia introduced the 3310 in 2000. The model sold twice as much as the iPhone X, for 126 million pieces. It was marketed for its ability to handle long text messages. It has a whopping 459 character-text-limit which was 3 times longer than any other phone at the time. And remember the colorful cases? In 2017, Nokia announced a comeback of the design. Motorola RAZR
If you had a Motorola RAZR in 2004, you are probably one of the cools kids at the time. The glowing keypad and the metal sleek design making it one of the hottest cell phones of the 2000s. In 2006, RAZR v3 was the most popular phone in the U.S. Motorola filed a patent for a foldable smartphone, hinting for a possible comeback in 2019.
Blackberry 6200
This model was a big hit among professionals. Just ask Hillary Clinton. She had 13 of those according to reports.
Blackberry entered the market in 2003. It was the first blackberry with an integrated keyboard offering a better email user experience.
Sony Ericsson T68I
This was one of the first phones that could send multimedia messages also known as MMS in 2002. It also has a color display along with customizable ringtones, email capability, Bluetooth connectivity, and T9 predictive text funcation. You could even add a camera accessory to take pictures.
T-Mobile Sidekick
Originally named Dang Hiptop. This crazy looking cellphone hit the market in 2002. It features a large swiveling screen and a big QWERTY keyboard. The body is more than one inch thick. But it included AIM, MSN Messenger, Yahoo, web apps, email, and a web browser unlike anything else at the time.
