Graviky Labs came up with a solution to reduce the pollution from car exhausts and make use of it.
Based in Bangalore, Graviky Labs tried to solve one of the key factors making India one of the most polluted countries in the world, PM 2.5, a specific pollutant that has a size smaller than 2.5 micrometers.
Graviky Labs’ solution involves adding an accessory to car exhausts. A cylindrical device would capture the carbon soot. Over time, the carbon bank would collect the pollutant, and help reduce air pollution.
The carbon soot would later be processed to remove the toxic material and could be reused as paint. Graviky Labs then repackage it in pens and bring new life to the waste.
So far, the company claims it is responsible for 1.6 trillion liters of air cleaned, and hope to continue more. As it won’t solve the air pollution problem in a meaningful way, it will definitely make people think of our carbon footprint
