Cubit: The mixed reality tool let you hang your painting straight with confidence
If you have ever decorated a new apartment or house, you likely know how difficult it is to hang paintings, posters, or shelves straight on the wall.
It seems like no matter how much you measure and plan, something is bound to go wrong.
Cubit is a measuring gadget that will help you with this. It uses a combination of an app and a measuring tape like tool to capture the dimensions of your space.
In a companion app, you can plan your décor and design scheme exactly to your liking using Mixed Reality technology. Essentially, the app allows you to mix photos of your actual space with virtual design mock-ups using the actual dimensions of your space.
In the app, you can rearrange your décor without having to put countless holes in your wall while you try different hanging configurations.
After you decide on a design arrangement, Cubit guides you with step by step directions on how to execute your plan exactly as it looks in the app.
As you begin, the device will guide you to the exact point on the wall where you need to put a nail – this means that you do not have to do even one bit of math…
The Cubit itself is equipped with an advanced guidance system that pinpoints the exact horizontal and vertical location of where the nails should be place. In addition, it uses a laser guide to show you exactly where to hammer the nails in so everything will be spaced and leveled appropriately.
If you find yourself mathematically challenged and can’t be bothered to work out the calculations to hang artwork in your home, the Cubit may be the perfect gadget for you.
