Air pollution is something almost all of us are aware of. But there is little that we can do about it. The most common byproduct of air pollution is carbon and also the most harmful. But a new startup called Graviky Labs has found a unique and creative solution to the carbon problem.
Air-Ink is the first ink that is made entirely out of air pollution. The technology that they have developed for this process is called KAALINK.<o:p></o:p>

It is a patent pending technology which is used to trap air pollutants and then processed into making Air-Ink. The unit captures up to 95% pollutant matter and is designed with heat and water proof materials. It has been designed to fit into diesel generators, small chimney stacks and biogas burning chimneys. After capturing the pollutants they are repurposed for art.
Air-Ink currently produces a variety of markers and inks which can be used for typography, painting, and writing.<o:p></o:p>

The team of creative and environmentally conscious individuals at Graviky came up with the idea of Air-Ink, to combat air pollution and to utilize soot or carbon deposit. Soot is a byproduct of burning fossil fuels and is extremely harmful to the environment and everyone living in it.
Studies have shown that a lot of untimely deaths are directly connected to soot in the environment. Carbon particle or soot exposure leads to around 20,000 premature deaths in America each year. Statistics have also shown that soot annually causes almost 300,000 asthma attacks and 2 million mislaid workdays due to respiratory problems.<o:p></o:p>
The vision behind Air-Ink is to reduce urban air pollution in a way that it doesn’t reach the lungs of millions of people every day. The pollutants which could have caused irreversible harm to mankind are now being used to create the most beautiful art. <o:p></o:p>
