Facebook acquires ID verification startup

Confirm.io,
an app to help verify government-issued ID through its API, is now officially
part of Facebook. The acquisition could help Facebook to expedite user identity
confirmation if they are locked out of their accounts by hacking or losing
password, and help them quickly get back to normal use.

 

Trump
blames Samsung for lost FBI messages

In
one of Donald Trump’s latest tweets, the POTUS blasted at Samsung for playing a
part in the 50,000 missing FBI text messages. In the separate two tweets he
writes”In one of the biggest stories in a long time, the FBI now says it
is missing five months worth of lovers Strzok-Page texts, perhaps 50,000, and
all in prime time” and “”Where are the 50,000 important text
messages between FBI lovers Lisa Page and Peter Strzok? Blaming Samsung!,”

 

YouTube asks promoted artists not to insult
company

The
newly leaked YouTube non-disparagement clause asks musicians not to say
negative things about the company in exchange for promotional support. It is
reported the clause is taken as a precaution to discourage artists from
insulting the company as YouTube is leaping into music industry.

battery exploded after “biting test”

A
CCTV camera in one of China’s many electronic stores captured the moment of
smartphone battery explosion after a man bit it. It is rumored the man of the
moment was testing the battery’s authenticity/reliability by biting on it when
he was trying to find a replacement for his iPhone battery.
